Our Magic Festival Season Wraps With A Bang! Here's What Happened!
This fall was the most magical season of the Ontario OWOW Magic Festival yet! World-acclaimed magicians, guests, sold-out shows and unbelievable magic in Canada's Most Magical Township.
Let's take a look at a few highlights from the fourth annual magic festival.
Ontario OWOW Magic Festival Season
The 2022 OWOW Magic Festival season was a huge success! We had two incredible performances at the Fergus Grand Theatre on October 15th that featured an incredible family matinee in the afternoon and a mind-blowing, world-class show in the evening. We had our first-ever magic workshop, and our festival's very own Ryan Joyce also had two performances in Elora at the Elora Distilling Company.
This year's OWOW Magic Festival featured these Ontario magicians:
Nicholas Wallace
The Sentimentalists
Magic Mike Segal
Dick Joiner
Ryan Joyce
It was a magical year with unbelievable magic, laughs and sold-out shows! We look forward to returning next year, in October, during Monster Month!
Family Magic Show Matinee
The afternoon family show was titled Family Magic Show Matinee, and it was presented at the Fergus Grand Theatre on October 15 at 2 pm.
The sold-out show featured Magic Mike Segal, and Dick Joiner and was hosted by Ryan Joyce. Magic Mike Segal is the founder of the magic camp called Sorcerer's Summer Safari, which inspired the hit Disney movie, Magic Camp starring Adam DeVine.
The show closed with Dick Joiner, who has toured extensively across Ontario and Canada, producing and starring in several variety shows and fundraising tours.
The show was filled with tons of laughs, excitement and mind-boggling magic!

Wizard Workshop
In 2022, the OWOW Magic Festival also premiered our first Wizard Workshop that was presented for our friends at the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Centre Wellington.
The one-hour workshop was presented by Magic Mike Segal, who founded North America's premiere magic camp that ran for over 20 years.
Tricks & Other Mysteries
The Fergus Grand Theatre also played host to an evening of unbelievable magic. Guests were treated to a spectacular show titled Tricks & Other Mysteries, featuring Nicholas Wallace, The Sentimentalists and hosted by Ryan Joyce.
The show opened with The Sentimentalists, who are Mysterion, and Steffi Kay, a duo that has appeared on America's Got Talent and fooled Penn & Teller. They presented incredible feats of mind-reading and mentalism with members of the audience.
Nicholas Wallace is a magician who has over 100 million views on YouTube and appeared on America's Got Talent and Penn & Teller Fool Us. He fooled Penn & Teller with his fascinating magic and unique style, perfectly described as "Pure Evil Wrapped in Mr. Roger's Sweater."
The show blew the minds of everyone in the audience, from start to finish. It was truly a magical evening at Fergus Grand Theatre!
Ryan Joyce at the Elora Distilling Company
The Elora Distilling Company was the place to be the second-last weekend of October, as it hosted two intimate magic shows. Ryan Joyce performed 90-minute performances, one on Saturday night and another on Sunday afternoon.
The Royal Room at the Elora Distilling Company is a cozy space that holds about 50 people. This made for an intimate experience for the sold-out crowd. At the Saturday evening performance, we were surprised by many friends, fans of magic and even some incredible witches!
Ryan Joyce has appeared on Canada's Got Talent and Penn & Teller's Fool Us. His shows featured everything from mind-reading to mentalism, and everyone got to experience the magic close-up!
It was a great end to a fantastic season!
Thank You, Centre Wellington!
Centre Wellington is filled with magic! The area is home to our OWOW Magic Festival and the Canadian Association of Magicians. Throughout October, there are wondrous sights, sounds and mysteries to behold. The village of Elora is filled with monsters, Fergus has Witches everywhere, and our magic festival floats between both-- Centre Wellington is Ontario's must-see Halloween destination throughout October.
Thank you for a wonderful year!
